The first night, 4-4-08, as I Jesse Rios was at the residence of Ricky Sorrells, I saw an awfully weird object in the sky lowering and lighting up, lowering and lighting up, and continually lowering and lighting up until it fell out of reach under the trees ahead. The object looked like it might have been in a clear (cellophane-looking) tube as it through the tube in the sky going down. It lowered in the sky lighting up in an orange light. The light was divided in fours but blasted its orange light through some type of film, like a cellophane

For some of us, time has passed by slowly since the first reports of strange objects in the sky over central Texas that it seems like it happened years ago rather than mere months. So much has been written about, discussed in forums and scrutinized by media that it's easy to lose sight of the sightings that started the bulk of the commotion. Let's take a trip back in history...waaaay back to 08 January 2008 if you will. The following were reports submitted to NUFORC (National UFO Reporting Center) concerning that day, or rather...night.

ALICE--One lady says she saw something very unusual in the sky last night near her home. The woman believes it was a UFO, so she called Three News to investigate it.

We have received several calls about UFO's ever since we aired a special report in February. This woman said she was a non- believer, but after last night's encounter, she's now a believer.

Following the January reports of unidentified flying objects hovering in the sky above Erath County, the world has been wondering what it was that so many locals saw in those early weeks of 2008.

Now, there might finally be some answers.

The History Channel will present “UFO Hunters: Invasion of Texas 2008,” at 9 p.m. Wednesday. The show follows a group of experts as they study some of history’s most intriguing UFO accounts and the evidence surrounding the cases. This week’s episode will investigate local reports through scientific means in an attempt to uncover the facts surrounding the sightings.

The reporter who put Stephenville, Texas on the UFO radar has stepped down from her position as head of a local radio news department for MandatoryFM. She has now turned her sights toward a broader, worldwide audience that claims upwards of 1 million listeners as a special correspondent on the Jerry Pippin Show.

The Open Minds Expeditionary Field Team (OMEFT) came from near and far to converge on Ricky Sorrells' property near Dublin, Texas, in hopes of encountering the object that he claims frequently visits his place and the surrounding area in Erath County.
